Hello, I’m Dena Bradbury, owner & principal designer of Dena Bradbury Designs.  We specialize in creating timeless, elegant interiors that blend sophistication with comfort. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, our design studio serves busy homeowners who seek refined, functional homes without the stress of managing every detail.

With a background in corporate healthcare, I understand the demands of a fast-paced professional life. After a fulfilling two-decade corporate career, I have transitioned to design full-time, combining my extensive experience, Masters in Business Administration, and Diploma of Interior Design with my passion for timeless style. I now collaborate with professionals who desire homes that are not only elegant and upscale but also comfortable and highly functional.

A Simple, Full-Service Design Process

Discovery & Proposal

This is where we learn all about your goals for your space and discuss the project in the following steps:

  1. Brief discovery call

  2. In-home consultation where we get more in-depth about your goals and requirements

  3. Project & Design Fee Proposal

  4. Signing of contract and initiation of design work

Design Planning

In this stage we take the time to thoroughly work through all the details. This is also when we collaborate with any necessary architects, builders, and trades to align on the design and planning of your project. Selection and purchasing of fixtures, materials, and furnishings are discussed. Together we establish the project budget and set clear timelines.

This phase can take several weeks depending on the size of the project and its complexity, and will involve a number of conversations to ensure all are aligned on the vision. This includes:

  1. Design Concept Development

  2. Complete Design Package

  3. Presentation and Sign-off

Implementation

Here is where everything comes together and ideas become reality. Depending on the nature of your project, we work with architects, contractors, and other required trades to ensure that all your designs are executed and installed as planned. We oversee every detail to prepare your space for the gorgeous final reveal.

  1. Construction (if needed)

  2. Ordering of materials, fixtures and furnishings

  3. Install of furnishings and decorative fixtures

  4. Final reveal
